  On Easter Sunday I went to Tom's Family Restaurant for an Easter brunch. For the first time I was unsatisfied because my scrambled eggs and hash browns were served cold. I should have sent it back but because it was Easter Sunday all I really had was their coffee and toast.
  
  Since my last review was a bit of a bad rating, I've decided to give Tom's 22 another chance. A couple of weeks ago I went back for a dinner on a Saturday evening and ordered a Classic Hamburger combo with a dinner salad and a raspberry tea. I had much better service and burger and fries were cooked to perfection. So Tom's 22 was given a perfect 5 star rating.

  Tom's!!!!!! They have awesome specials, deals, sales, combos, value. Whatever you want to call it you can get a good meal for a great price. Sometimes they are for certain hours of the day like 3-6pm or for lunch or evening or daily. The burgers are good and big. The breakfast is breakfast so nothing special but does the job. You can get 3 burgers, 3 fries and 3 drinks for $11.99. Can't beat that with a bat!

  I've passed this place dozens of times and noticed it but it never crossed my mind to try it. In the spirit of supporting small business which is what I'm trying lately I decided I would stop in here for early lunch. Walking in I noticed how big the place is. Booth seating everywhere! I kinda had the impression it would be a greasy fast food joint but I was wrong! You order at the counter (but there's also a drive-thru) then seat yourself anywhere among the many booths. They soon bring your food right out to your table. I ordered the chili cheese burger which was pretty good. It comes with a big helping of delicious fries! They also have daily specials beginning at 2pm for things like milkshakes, chili dogs, cheeseburgers, etc. for $2!!! I'll surely check them out again... after 2pm of course ;-)

  2 visits in a row that were perfect, and greeted at the drive thru window by someone that actually smiled and listened! Wait, are we at Tom's? Tom's , where you order and hope you get most of what you ordered and some of it's made right? Wow, just luck or did management finally clean house? We will be coming here a little more often to see, maybe a little hope has been restored, we'll see.

  Look no further for the best chili fries in North County! The fries are super delicious and the taste of the cheese is amazing on the chili. The chili is fair not great yet all of the ingredients blend well together. The only downfall was the moody cashier through the drive thru... I'm taking 2 stars away based on her attitude. It appeared she did not look like she knew how to work well under pressure, plus she forgot to add a fork to the bag.
